It All Started With The Death Of A Friend...

You have been summoned to the town of Ravengro in the rural county of Canterwall in Ustalav for the funeral of the recently deceased Professor Petros Lorrimor, famed scholar, explorer, and teacher, by his daughter, Kendra Lorrimor. You've known the Professor (and Kendra) for many years and, despite his age, his death occurred as quite a shock to everyone who knew him. Your travels have been long and hard getting to Ravengro and, as such, you reach the small town on the day of the funeral with scant little time to spare. You meet Kendra at the entrance of Ravengro's cemetary called the restlands. Several others are silently gathered for the somber occasion. No one speaks and only a couple nod to you, acknowledging your arrival. Kendra smiles weakly, "It is good to see that you made it, my friend" she says as she comes to greet you, holding both your hands. "Thank you for coming. I'm sure Father is pleased as well. Do you wish to be one of the pallbearers?"...
